Spiritual Leadership Guidelines

Thank you for partnering with us to lead the pilgrimage.

We view this as a sacred collaboration. Our mission is to handle all the logistics so you can focus entirely on the spiritual enrichment of your group. Below outlines how we will support you and how we can work together to create a life-changing experience for everyone.

Our Commitment to You: Honouring You as Our Guest

  1. Your Comfort is Our Priority: We consider it a privilege to host you. Christian Pilgrimage will cover your round-trip airfare and all costs associated with the itinerary, including a single room supplement to ensure your privacy and rest.
  2. We Handle the Details: We deeply respect the demands of your ministry. Therefore, we manage all travel arrangements, accommodations, and logistics from start to finish, allowing you to arrive relaxed and spiritually prepared.
  3. A Renewing Experience: Our goal is for this journey to be a time of profound personal renewal for you and your group. We want you to experience the pilgrimage not just as a leader, but as a participant, enjoying a spiritually fulfilling and restful time.

Our Partnership: How We Can Achieve This Together

  1. Sharing the Invitation: Your primary role in building this pilgrimage is to extend the invitation. By announcing the journey during masses, meetings, and to your community, you help gather a minimum of 25 pilgrims who will benefit from this experience.
  2. Personal Preparation: As you prepare, we simply ask that you arrange your own travel insurance for personal peace of mind and bring any personal spending money you may wish for souvenirs or extras.
  3. Your Spiritual Leadership Onsite: While on pilgrimage, your focus is on your flock. Your responsibilities are to celebrate Mass, offer spiritual reflections, and provide pastoral support as you feel called to do throughout the journey.

Supporting Your Ministry Every Step of the Way

  1. Tools for Invitation: We will provide you with all the necessary brochures, posters, and digital content to help you share the vision for this journey.
  2. Gathering the Community: To help you build your group, we are happy to host an information evening at your parish (or via Zoom) and will provide refreshments to create a welcoming atmosphere for prospective pilgrims.
  3. Spiritual Preparation: Before we depart, we will provide you with biblical passages and reflections related to the holy sites, to aid in your own preparation and the spiritual guidance you will offer.
  4. Building Fellowship: We also love to organise a pre-trip gathering at a location of your choice. This allows the pilgrims to meet you and each other, building a sense of community before we embark on the pilgrimage.

A Relationship Built on Trust and Respect

  1. A Labour of Love: We see our contribution to you as a “love offering,” a heartfelt expression of gratitude for your spiritual leadership.
  2. Unexpected Circumstances: We understand that emergencies happen. Should you need to cancel, we kindly ask for your help in finding a trusted fellow spiritual leader to take your place, subject to approval by Christian Pilgrimage. This ensures the spiritual needs of the group are still met.
  3. Respecting the Community: To honour the privacy and trust of the group you’ve helped build, we ask that you not use the pilgrimage mailing list or WhatsApp group to promote other activities or organisations.
  4. Protecting Our Partnership: The relationships with our ground operators and the details of our operations are key to our ministry. We trust that you will treat this information with discretion and not share it with third parties.
  5. Shared Materials: All materials we provide are intended to support your ministry on this specific journey. Please note that they are the property of Christian Pilgrimage and are not to be reproduced without our written permission.

We are truly looking forward to walking with you on this holy path. Thank you for your partnership.
